A sitting polar bear with round ears, a creamy muzzle, a small black nose and a green knitted scarf with white stripes. The bear is mostly white, so a grey outline separates it from the board, and a grey line between the legs and two cream paw pads give it some shape. It fits on one 29x29 board. Like the penguin, it has no Christmas symbols and works as a winter or snow-day project; swap the scarf colour for a holiday look.

Variations
Red scarf
A red scarf with white stripes for a Christmas version of the same bear.
Polar Bear – Red scarf – 29×29, 6 colors, 515 beads. Each symbol marks one bead; bold lines every 5 pegs.
About three hundred beads are white. Sort out any yellowish or translucent whites first, because they show clearly against the solid white.
Place the grey outline first and fill the white inside it; it is much easier to keep count that way.
The cream muzzle and paw pads are close to white. Use toasted marshmallow or a light tan so they stay visible after ironing.
Ironing large white areas can leave yellow scorch marks. Use lower heat and move the iron constantly.
The scarf end hangs down on the left side of the body. Its white stripe matches the white stripes around the neck, so use the same white for both.
The ears sit apart from the head with a grey outline between them. Iron that area evenly so the ears do not snap off when you lift the piece.
