A jolly Santa Claus face with a red hat and pompom, a thick white fur brim, peach skin with rosy cheeks, a curly moustache and a large rounded beard. A soft grey outline keeps the white beard and brim visible on a white board or wall. The design covers most of a 29x29 board and uses nearly three hundred white beads, so check your white supply before you start. It is an original, traditional folk Santa, not based on any advertising or film character.

Variations
Green-coated Santa
A dark green hat, inspired by the older Father Christmas tradition. All other colours stay the same.
Santa Claus – Green-coated Santa – 29×29, 7 colors, 523 beads. Each symbol marks one bead; bold lines every 5 pegs.
The beard and moustache are the same white, so the moustache is separated from the beard only by the pink mouth below it. Place the three mouth beads early as a guide.
Use the grey outline beads to frame the beard first; filling the white inside a finished outline is faster than counting a large white area.
Rosy cheeks are a single bead on each side. Swap them for light pink if your pink looks too strong next to the peach face.
The pompom hangs over the edge of the hat. Iron that corner carefully because it joins the hat at only two beads.
