Two original snowflakes in one page: a large eight-armed snowflake that uses a full 29x29 board and a small 15x15 version that is quick to make and works well as a gift tag or ornament. White arms carry light blue side branches, and the centre is a small blue cluster. Snowflakes are mostly thin lines rather than filled areas, so they use relatively few beads but need careful ironing to stay in one piece.
Not yet test-fused. This is an original pattern designed on screen; it has not been ironed and photographed yet. Perler is the palette the pattern was drawn in. Hama and Artkal codes are automatic nearest-colour matches (CIEDE2000), not official conversions.
Snowflake pattern grid
Snowflake – 29×29, 2 colors, 193 beads. Each symbol marks one bead; bold lines every 5 pegs.
29 × 29 beads ≈ 14.5 × 14.5 cm (5.7 × 5.7 in) with 5 mm beads. It fits on one 29×29 square pegboard. For a bigger version, use the pattern maker on a 58×58 (2×2 boards) layout; the standard single board is covered on the 29×29 pattern maker page. Mini 2.6 mm beads make the same design roughly half the size.
Difficulty: Medium · 2 colors · 193 beads.
Variations
Small 15x15 snowflake
A compact 15x15 snowflake with the same white arms and blue centre as the large one, for gift tags and tree ornaments.
Snowflake – Small 15x15 snowflake – 15×15, 2 colors, 65 beads. Each symbol marks one bead; bold lines every 5 pegs.
Thin one-bead lines are fragile. Iron a little longer than usual and fuse both sides so every bead joins its neighbours.
Use a clear or white board if you have one, so the white beads are easy to see while you place them.
The design is symmetrical: build one arm, then copy it by counting from the centre rather than from the edge.
For a window decoration, use glow-in-the-dark or translucent white beads instead of plain white.
The small snowflake makes a good gift tag: write a name on a paper label and tie it on with the ribbon through the top arm.
If one arm breaks off after ironing, place the piece back on the board, add the missing beads and iron again on the same side.
